Hanoi city tour Culture and History Exploring ( Multi-option) Half Day
Hanoi is a very historical and culturally rich city which has been preserved over thousands of years. This half day tour gives you an over view of the city by visiting the many fascinating highlights.

Option 01: Tour Hanoi – Visit Tran Quoc pagoda, Temple of Literature and Quoc Tu Giam, Hoa Lo prison museum ½ day.
8:00 AM: Get Pick up by tour guide to the Tran Quoc Buddhism pagoda. It dates back to the 6th century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De Dynasty. Take a leisurely walk on a romantic road, crossing West Lake before heading to the Temple of Literature which is best known as the first National University and a World Heritage site.
Continue to the Hoa Lo Prison museum (Hanoi Hilton) which presents Vietnam’s history while the French ruled and the war between Vietnam and the USA.
The tour ends at around 12:00. You will be dropped back at your hotel or your requested place in the Old Quarter.
Note: It is required to dress cover your knees and shoulder when visit pagoda.
Option 02: Tour Hanoi - Exploring Imperial Citadel & Hoang Dieu Archaeologists complex ½ day.
Drive to the Thang Long Imperial Citadel. Explore the massive complex of architectural works which were built through the many reigns of Vietnamese Emperors. Visit the Doan Mon gate, Kinh Thien Palace (just the base remains) and then Hau Lau house. Explore into the bunker base in D67 house which was used as the head office of North Vietnam’s Army in the American War. Continue to 18 Hoang Dieu Archaeologists complex before a short walk to the Cua Bac Gate with a view of the whole Citadel.
Option 03: Tour Hanoi - Visit Ho Chi Minh complex, leisurely walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son temple, Old Quarter, taking photos of Long Bien Bridge ½ day.
2:00 PM: Start from your hotel to the French Quarter – a “little Paris” in Hanoi with tree-lined boulevards, government head offices and a big square. Visit (outside) the mausoleum, worshipping Ho Chi Minh who got Vietnam Independence back from the French. Enjoy a leisurely walk in the botanical garden to visit the Presidential Palace - Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts where he used to live and work.
Continue the trip to Hoan Kiem Lake to visit the Pen Tower then cross the Sunlight Bridge to Ngoc Son temple which is located on the Jade islet since the 19th century and is dedicated to Confucian and Taoist philosophers and the national hero Tran Hung Dao.
After that, we will go to the Old Quarter which is always considered a live city museum. The unique tube houses, small alleys, temples, open door markets and street vendor foods come together in a beautiful harmony. At last we come to the very historical Long Bien Bridge, enjoy different city views and enjoy the sunset on the Red River. Get back to your hotel in the late afternoon.
Note: Walking shoes are recommended and Ho Chi Minh mausoleum will be closed on Monday, Friday and all afternoons of the week.
